First,NSDDoperandswouldbeusedtoclearthedatainthecurrentdetectors.UseNSDDwiththedetectornumbersettozerotoclearallenergyinalldetectors.UsuallyasingleNSDDatthetopofthemeritfunctionisallthatisneeded.NSDDreturnsavalueofzeroandhasnoeffectonthemeritfunctionvaluewhenusedtocleardetectors.

solidangleisreturnedforthatpixel.Whichofthethreeisdeterminedbythedataargument,whichshouldbe0,1,or2forflux,irradiance,orintensity,respectively.Ifpixelis0,thesumofallthefluxorflux/areainthedetectorisreturned.Ifpixelis-1,themaximumfluxorflux/areaforallpixelsisreturned.Ifpixelis-2,theminimumfluxorflux/areaforallpixelsisreturned.Ifpixelis-3,thenumberofraysstrikingthedetectorisreturned.Ifpixelis-4,theRMSdeviationfromthemeanforallpixelsisreturned.Theunitsofthereturned
